Protean Funds Scandinavia AB (PFS) manages the funds Protean Select and Protean Small Cap. PFS AB is an investment firm supervised by the Swedish FSA, Finansinspektionen and holds a licence for discretionary portfolio management.
Protean Funds Scandinavia AB was founded in January 2022. The funds are managed by Pontus Dackmo and Carl Gustafsson.

PONTUS DACKMO,
CEO/INVESTMENT MANAGER
Pontus Dackmo has 20 years’ experience working professionally with Nordic Equities. He holds a Bsc in Economics and a Bsc in Political Science from Umeå University. Relevant previous experience: Head of Equities at Danske Bank UK, Portfolio Manager and Healthcare analyst at Nordea Asset Management, International Institutional sales at SEB, ABG and Nordea.
RICHARD BRÅSE,
INVESTMENT MANAGER
Richard Bråse has 15 years’ experience working with Nordic equities as a news reporter and analyst at Dagens Industri. He holds a Masters degree in History from Gothenburg University.
CARL GUSTAFSSON,
INVESTMENT MANAGER
Carl Gustafsson has 18 years’ experience working professionally with Nordic Equities. He holds a Master of Finance from Handelshögskolan i Göteborg. Most recently he worked as a Portfolio Manager of a 10bn+ Swedish small cap fund at Didner & Gerge. Relevant previous experience: Small cap Industrials Analyst, Head of Investor Relations at Hexagon and financial journalist.

Axel Ekros has 4 years’ experience working with Nordic equities and fixed income at East Capital / Adrigo. He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from Jönköpings University.
DANIEL MACKEY,
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Daniel Mackey has more than 25 years’ experience working in senior management rolls in Fund Management Operations and Fund Administration and as a CFO in listed companies. He holds a Bsc in Economics from SUNY Plattsburgh. Relevant previous experience: Head of Brokerage Business at Nordea, Head of Fund Accounting at Nordea Investment Management and Manager of Client Relations and Fund Accounting at IBT/State Street.
